CHRISTIAN HOUSE OF PRAYER

Our Story

How it all started...

Bishop Nate Holcomb  and his family arrived in Fort Hood, Texas in January 1980.  Bishop began a Bible study in his home shortly after relocating to Texas.

As that began to grow, God called him to be a Pastor.  Christian House of Prayer began with an original membership of thirteen people in Copperas Cove Texas.

Since then CHOP has grown to an active membership of thousands of believers who still gather weekly to encounter God's presence and hear his word. God made proof of His promise by growing CHOP to one of the largest ministries in the Killeen and central Texas area and it is still growing today.

Expanding the vision...

In 2001 Christian House of Prayer expanded to Killeen, TX where we  are  currently thriving today.  At CHOP it is all about HIM Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. We believe that anything that is healthy is supposed to grow and we are grateful to God that his hand is still resting on our ministry.  Salvation and  spiritual growth is the heartbeat of our church. Our aim is to build disciples that can teach what they have been taught and win souls for the Kingdom of God.

Where we are headed...

In November 2018 our be beloved founder and Pastor, Bishop Nate Holcomb made his transition home. His wife Pastor Valerie Holcomb now serves as our Pastor, she has served along side Bishop and co-founded Christian House of Prayer with him.
We are headed forward to continue the work of the ministry by pushing back darkness in our city, setting the captives free, and winning souls for the kingdom of God.

Everything is going our way as we follow HIM!
